Christmas Cookin'

Emily was melting sugar, butter and dates for our date balls. This was the first time we made them in THIS house. They turned out pretty good. The experts agree!

Thanks to Aunt Jeanie for this nice little goodie. Shame I didn't get Cmas colored M&Ms. Oh well, they still tasted yummy!

Another shot of the little cook.

This picture cracks me up! Alex wanted to take a picture and he got Daddy stealing a Date Ball!!!! Emily is like so how do they taste, I'm like- Rob they're not for you right now!!!! Priceless!

Rolling the date balls. Note to self: wait until the date mixture cools COMPLETELY before rolling!

2011 On the hunt for a Cmas Tree

Out at the tree farm with the family,

Walking up the hill to find just the right one.

The kids trying to find one. It was harder than I thought to find one like this. I think next year we'll just get one already pre cut and ready to go.

I really like this one. Shame Alex is hidden in front of Emily.

The finished product. Ain't it pretty. Rob decided to put lights around the room and it'really looks nice. =)

An Evening with Ellie-Jo

Alex was into his Angry Birds.

My big helper. She was so great that night. She fed EJB while I fixed their dinner.

Lil miss Brown eyes and Lil Miss Blue eyes.

Having some tummy time.

Saturday Yard clean up in Nov.

The big compost pile. I hope this will help our garden in the spring.

Alex and bungie chords. I have no idea....

Daddy working hard and momma has a "load" in the wheel barrow (sp?). Is that two words? Is that even right? Oh well, you know what I mean. It was a fun workday for the fam.

The first Cmas decoration of the year. Yes, it's in the Pineta's yard. At least they waited till after Halloween. =)

Daddy is working so hard while the kids are having fun in the .... wagon. =)

Halloween Part 1

Here we go again with my pictures importing backwards.

Anyhoo this is just one side of our pumpkin.

And the other side of the pumpkin.

Em digging out the guts of the pumpkin. Alex only tried it once and then that was it. He totally didn't like it. =)

No words needed. This was her first time with her hand in a pumpkin since before should could really remember. =)

Keeping Ellie JoOno

Ellie Jo and her Auntie Connie

As I was sitting eating my lunch today, I starting to smell something really, really bad. I looked over and this is what I saw... EJ looking at me and getting all red faced... then think of the worst, squishy, wet, gurgly sounds... (gag)

Yes, as usual EJ gave her Aunt Connie a present.

At this time I was like, where are your parents kid?! =)

I love this one. I totally see Ween in her here.

This one is precious! Emily did such a good job feeding her cousin.

What a big girl!

Going on a hay ride with Daddy and Uncle Stephen.

Other hayrides going on. Some were powered by a living breathing motor.

The kids checking out the heavy macheniery.

This picture cracks me up! Check out Alex's face. Looks like he grabbed hold of an electric fence.....(it wasn't though). If I remember back far enough I think I had the same yet much more painful experience.... Why Dad, do you have any of those memories with your children????? =)
