First Pool day 2012

 Alex the little fish.

Emmo and her "next step up" goggles. (no nose holder)

 Three little fishes.

Here's a panoramic view of the pool spanning from the right to the leftt.  There under the white umbrellas is where you check in.

Here's the center of of the pool.  It's in the shape of the red cross symbol.  That little house is the bathrooms in the bottom and holds vending machines.  No snack bar- gotta bring your own food.

Here's the left side of the pool to the left of the lifeguard is a 3' section.  There are also nice wide steps where you can enter the pool.  That's a nice place for mommas to hang out. =)

There's even a little baby pool.  You can see a little bit of it on the left.

This is the far left of the pool area.  There's a nice volley ball net set up and even 2 tennis courts.  We were very impressed with the cleanlines and atmosphere of the pool.  MUCH better than NL. (sad to say)  Hopefully Grandparents can be our guests near future and maybe even some Aunts, Uncles and cousins. =)

for those of you that need SOUND with your view...

Some big changes in 2 years...

All I have to say about this is THANK GOD THIS WOMAN WILL NOT BE ON THE BEACH THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laura and Jeanie will be swapping places this year.  Different baby and different momma.  Ween, the beach adds another level of understanding your selfishness with being a mom (and a human for goodness sakes!)   Its so hard to fight your desires at the beach (do what you want; what you've always done before) and do what needs to be done for your child.  This was a HUGE wake up call for me and I'm sure Laura can vouch for this too.  Just keep in mind that no matter what, your child comes first and so does her needs (food, nap, bed times).  Be sure to give your spouse an "hour or two" of "downtime" and somewhat of a Vacation.  If you share the load it won't be so hard.  Nothing really changes about your family dynamics except your location. =)  Its easier to ignore a screaming baby when you're looking out at the ocean and hearing the waves.  LOL! ;)
This is not ment to be a downer, but just a bit of motherly advice for the weeks to come. *love*

Love the beach in the evening...  I know it's a NMB coast, but it's all good.

Oh I just can't wait......  this will be many of our evenings.

"Arm & Hammer,"  "Yin & Yang," "Frick & Frack,"  "Peas & Carrots"
--need I say more?

Walking down a nasty memory lane.....

I was going thru pictures and ran across this one and I died laughing.  This is probably one of my favorite pictures so far.  I mean it's the best "action" shot that I've ever caught.  This pictures also reminds me of the most embarrassing parenting moments of my life (so far).  This was the "much talked about" Circus barf.  This shot shows poor Emily getting ready to spew her half eaten Chick-filet sandwich.  Alex is so caught up in the glow of his $100 bo-bo light saber that he has no idea what's about to happen.  All Rob says he remembers is watching Emily and I walking down the steps at the Rke Civic Center down on the round main walkway and then Emily spewing her cookies everywhere!!!!  I almost died at that moment.  Really, I wanted to kill Rob for making me be the one to experience this... =)  But anyway thankfully Paw-paw Yearout came to our rescue and took us home and we had to miss the show.  The boys said it was awesome, but I'll never know.  Anyway just wanted to share those little thoughts and jog down memory lane.

2006 Nelson beach trip

This will be Ellie this year.

Alex taking his first steps on the beach.  Ellie will be doing this too this year!

We'll be seeing this a lot too.  Gotta love'em!

Oh, my sweet baby girl!  She's such a beach bum like her Dad.

Oh, where have my babies gone?  = ..(
I miss them at this age, but BOY this was A LOT of work!
